Scope of Work & Access
Exterior-Only Limitation: Services are performed from the exterior. If interior access is required (e.g., for screen removal), the client must be present or provide written permission.
Property Access: Client agrees to provide unobstructed access to the entire perimeter of the property. This includes unlocking gates and moving sensitive items (planters, outdoor furniture) away from the work area.
Water Supply: Client must provide a functional exterior water spigot with standard pressure for use with the XERO Pure system.
Safety & Liability
Pre-Existing Damage: CALA Exteriors is not responsible for pre-existing damage, including but not limited to: cracked glass, dry-rotted frames, oxidized paint, or faulty gutter brackets.
Ladder Safety: For the safety of our technicians, we reserve the right to decline cleaning specific areas if ground conditions are unstable or if power lines pose a hazard.
Window Seals (Foggy Glass): Blown seals (fogginess between panes) cannot be fixed by cleaning and CALA Exteriors is not responsible for moisture trapped inside the glass unit.
"CALA Guarantees"
Service Exclusions & Limitations: Window Cleaning Services
CALA Exteriors is not responsible for windows with failed Low-E coatings, salt-etching, or hard water stains that have permanently altered the glass.
Standard cleaning does not include removal of paint, silicone, or stickers.
Our Spot-Free guarantee is void on windows subjected to be under leaking gutters or ongoing construction/landscaping in the immediate area.
CALA Exteriors provides professional cleaning services only; we do not provide glass repair, scratch removal, or frame restoration.
The Spot-Free guarantee covers environmental streaking only. It does not cover new smudges, fingerprints, or pet marks (nose prints/paw prints) made after the technician has completed the service.
We do not guarantee windows that are hit by automatic sprinkler systems. Ground-source water often contains high mineral content that creates immediate hard-water spotting, which is outside of our control.
Our guarantee does not cover spotting or streaks caused by screen bleed. If old or oxidized screens are left in place after cleaning, rainwater passing through them may deposit residue back onto the glass.
CALA is not liable for screens that tear or frames that bend during standard removal if the material is already compromised.
Clearing weep holes is a maintenance effort and does not guarantee that old, damaged window units will be 100% leak-proof in extreme weather.
Service Exclusions & Limitations: Gutters & Downspouts
Downspout Flow Guarantee: We provide an industry-leading guarantee on the functional flow of your drainage system. By installing our custom Downspout Protection Guards, we guarantee that your downspouts will remain free-flowing for days following service.
While our guards prevent downspout blockages, they do not prevent environmental debris (leaves, needles, twigs) from naturally collecting in the open gutter channels during storms or high winds. Our guarantee covers the free flow of water through the downspout, not the absence of new debris within the gutter itself.
This guarantee applies exclusively to the vertical downspouts serviced and fitted with guards by CALA Exteriors. It does not extend to the open horizontal gutters or underground drainage pipes.
Maintenance Recommendations: In high-foliage areas, we recommend seasonal maintenance. If horizontal gutters become filled with debris to the point of overflowing despite clear downspouts, this is considered a new accumulation and is not covered under the flow guarantee.
Payments & Cancellations
Payment Terms: Full payment of invoice is due upon completion of the service.
Down Payment: 30% of invoice/services booked at the time of signing.
Late Fees: For payments over 14 days late will incur a 1.5% weekly interest charge.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may be subject to the total of down payment of services (30%).
Refund Policy: We do not offer refunds for services rendered.
Legal & Insurance
Governing Law: All disputes are governed by the laws of the State of California, with venue in San Mateo County.
Proof of Insurance: CALA Exteriors LLC maintains General Liability & Workers Compensation Insurance, proof is available upon request.
Marketing
Marketing Photos: Client agrees that CALA Exteriors may use any before and after photos taken of the services rendered for marketing materials and promotions, unless declined or stated by the client.
Client consents to marketing emails, text messages, and any additional form of marketing by CALA Exteriors. To be removed, client must elect ‘unsubscribe’ or notify CALA Exteriors directly.
